Campanice is a collective of artists gathered informally and circumstantially since 2016 in a shared studio space in Bonfim (Porto) — currently based on Rua Anselmo Braancamp, where several ateliers, artists and collectives populate the street. This group of eleven members is characterized above all by its autonomous works and different languages, allied to points of contact and affinities that are gradually established through friendship and coexistence.

Being fundamentally a space for work and sharing between the members of the collective, moments of openness to the public are organized in Open Studio mode (1 to 2 times a year) with works by the collective and also, every 2 months, programming with guest artists such as such as: Linha Amarela (occupying the window facing the street) and Campanice (video art exhibition). These moments bring together peers from artistic practice and the local community around the works that structure the collective, with guest actors also joining in the production of texts, performances or other types of presentations.

In addition to the work and individual exhibitions of each artist in the collective, there have been proposals and projects for the group outside the atelier’s doors: in 2022 the 1st exhibition as a collective was presented at the Centro Cultural Vila Flor (Guimarães), with the launch of a catalog. In 2023, the group presents work in Porto, Braga and Madrid.
